I have been thinking about this word for the past few days. When I think of resilience I think of being about to withstand disease. There are things in our environment physically, mentally, and socially that can be toxic. To become resilient to me would be to be able to withstand these toxins and quickly spring back to wellness.
How do we do that?
Physically: Nutrition, exercise, sleep and good hygiene.
Socially: Fill our lives with people that lift us up and spend time in service lifting others.
Mentally: Read from the best books. There is also a good phone app called Headspace that can help with guided meditation to help clear your head for good intentions.
Emotionally: Talk to a good friend, spend time in nature, take time to be still and ponder and regroup. Or see a therapist!!!
Spiritually: What feeds your soul? Seek for truth about where you came from, where you are going in order to know what to do with your here and now.
Let’s build resilience. Let’s be strong. Let’s take care of each other.
